investigation of single-user and multi-user detection methods in mc-cdma systems and comparison of their performances
Handovers in Hierarchical Multi-tier Systems
In hierarchical multi-tier network, preventing unnecessary handover is one of the most important matters to prevent performance degradation. To do this, some recent handover approaches propose to delay the handover from macro to small scale cell. So, in this paper, we introduces a concept of delaying inter-tier handover techniques to prevent temporary visitor being handed over to small cell.
متن کاملQueueing models for multi-service networks
The thesis starts in chapter 1 with basic observations and a survey of statistical methods commonly used to express the performance of communication network components and other systems based on stochastic processes. Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) is introduced and further on used as example toward a modern multi-flow based network performance assessment. In chapter 2 we first introduce ...
متن کاملPowerTracer: Tracing Requests in Multi-Tier Services to Reduce Energy Inefficiency
As energy has become one of the key operating costs in running a data center and power waste commonly exists, it is essential to reduce energy inefficiency inside data centers. In this paper, we develop an innovative framework, called PowerTracer, for diagnosing energy inefficiency and saving power. Inside the framework, we first present a resource tracing method based on request tracing in mul...
متن کاملPowerTracer: Tracing requests in multi-tier services to save cluster power consumption
As energy proportional computing gradually extends the success of DVFS (Dynamic voltage and frequency scaling) to the entire system, DVFS control algorithms will play a key role in reducing server clusters’ power consumption. The focus of this paper is to provide accurate cluster-level DVFS control for power saving in a server cluster. To achieve this goal, we propose a request tracing approach...
